since 1971 – lecturer at FAMU
1980–2004 – Head of the Cabinet of Image Technology
1981 – habilitation in the field of camera
1990 – appointed Professor
1990 – 1993 – Dean of FAMU
1999 – 2002 – FAMU Subdean for International Relations
1994 – 2003 – editor of the professional Fotografie Magazín journal

International activities:
1984–1988 – Board member of CILECT TDC (Training in Developing Countries)
1990-1993 Board member of ELIA (European League of the Institutes of the Art)
1992-1994 Member of the Executive Committee of GEECT (CILECT Regional Group)
